2016 Small Business of the Year Award Nominations

It is our pleasure to inform you that your business has been nominated for the prestigious 2016 Small Business of the Year Award presented by the Advisory Council of Lone Star College-Small Business Development Center (LSC-SBDC).  This is the 30th year that they have recognized outstanding entrepreneurs in our service area.  The Advisory Council hosts the Annual Small Business of the Year banquet to honor 18 finalists and six winners for their business successes and contributions to the community.  The banquet also serves to highlight the achievements and importance of small business in our area.   Proceeds from the banquet benefit the Small Business Development Center which provides free one-on-one business management advice to new and existing businesses.

Now that you’ve been nominated, we invite you to take the next step in the process by completing the application.  The link was emailed to you at info@kingwoodpromotions.com.  The deadline for submission of the application is close of business (5:00 p.m.) August 19, 2016.

All finalists will be invited to a finalists’ luncheon on October 21, 2016.  Final award winners will be announced on November 17, 2016 at the 30th Annual Small Business Awards Banquet.  Both the luncheon and the banquet will be held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott.

Sponsoring tournaments or other community events can be a great opportunity to connect with clients, neighbors and find new prospects.  Be sure to make the most of them and be selective about the events you choose to participate in. Take the time to collect contact information and make a positive, memorable impression. Don’t forget to follow-up after the event as well.
